Manifacturing: What My Pieces Are Made Of..
My jewelry is crafted using three types of wire: copper {my personal favorite}, brass, and sterling silver.
I source all my wire from two trusted distributors-Fire Mountain Gems and Rio Grande- to ensure quality and consistency in every piece.
Metals I Use
The copper is 99.9 percent pure and so beautiful. especially as it naturally darkens over time. I love the rich, earthy patina it develops.
The Brass is a blend of copper and zinc, giving it a warm golden tone.
Sterling Silver is 925 purity, the remainder is 7.5 percent copper for strength and durability.
With all three metals you can clean clean by using a mild abrasive polish or soaking in a tarnish removal solution.
Personally, I perfer the "old school" method- a simple mix of baking soda and water. It's gentle , effective
I source my gemstones, crystals, glass beads, and ceramic beads from a variety of places. Some come from local shops, others from trusted online sellers- but my absolutely favorite places to shop are Gem & Mineral Shows and Bead Shows.
When those shows travel through my area, I'm in heaven. There's nothing like walking through rows of sparkling stones, unique finds, and one of-a-kind treasures. It's when I discover many special pieces that eventually make their way into my jewelry.
